Kosice is the second biggest city in Slovakia and is an important metropolis having its International Airport with regular flights. First town in the world having its own coat of arm.
In the downtown (one of the best restorated medieval downtown in Slovakia), there visitor can find the biggest Slovakian gothic cathedral, State Theatre (one of the 5 top and most beautiful in Europe). In medieval age the downtown was on an island created by stream Cermel flowing through fortificated medieval city.
Jasov: small town near Kosice, Premonstratesian monastery with baroque library, french garden, fish pond managed by monks in the past, camping, ruins of Jasov castle on rock above the town, amazing karstic cave open to public, remnants of prehistorical people settlement
Medzev: German mining town, functional water-hammer forge mill museum, many water reservoirs supplying the mills, small ski slope with ski lift
Stos: climatic spas, natural park, small ski slope with ski lift
Zlata Idka: German mining village, many abandoned historical mines, plenty of randing holes remnants
Kojsova Hola: Hill above Zlata Idka, important ski centre with chair lift and several ski lifts. On the top, there is meteorological radar station.
Turna n/Bodvou, village with castle ruins, 3km and 300m deep karstic canyon called Zadiel ,narrowest point only 10m wide
Moldava n/Bodvou, blacksmith forge museum, in nearby Drienov former spa area, brook springing from cave
