President of the Kosice Self-Governing Region Rudolf Bauer on Tuesday inagurated two-day presentation of KSR in Vienna. First day of the presentation, which was focused on tourism, organizationally prepared Slovak Agency of Tourism in the premises of its representation at 7 Fillgradergasse. Touroperators and media representatives made familiar with interesting natural and historical tourists´ sights in the region and with the concrete programmes - visitors could acquaint with Tokaj wine route and Gothic route in Kosice region. Participants of the presentations received high-quality promotion materials and publications. Part of the event was degustation of Tokaj wines and press conference.
Presentation of culture of the KSR was arranged in the premises of Slovak institute at 24 Wipplingerstrasse on Wednesday. Presentation was part of the vernissage of Emilia Lakoma paintings. Rudolf Bauer opened the presentation, in his introductory speech he presented KSR. Folklore group Zemplin played to participants from embassies resided in Vienna, friends of Slovak institute and persons interested in Slovak culture. Visitors of the presentation could see a DVD presented Kosice Self-Governing Region, its history, interesting sights, present and its potential.
Exibition of 30 paintings of Emilia Lakoma artistic works in Slovak institute would be lasted one month. In her works, primarily oil paintings, is dominating theme of Eastern Slovakia, folklore motives and artistically represented religiosity of Eastern rite.
