His Beatitude Herman, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of all America and Canada, arrived for a visit (18th – 26th September 2004) of the Sister Orthodox Church in Slovakia and Czech Republic. During his stay, on 25th September 2004, the Most Blessed Herman visited Kosice, where he was received by the representatives of the Kosice Self-governing Region (KSR) at the premises of the Office of the Kosice Self-governing Region.
The Vice-president of the KSR Mr. Michal Ilko and the Director of the Office of the KSR Mrs. Rozalia Mudra presented to His Beatitude Herman and his delegation the Kosice Self-governing Region and its historical regions. They underlined the cooperation of the self-government with churches present in the KSR.
Metropolitan Herman is well known as a counsel of the holy life, who personally supports theological education and academic growth.
